My favourite thing right now: Pete follows Spencer, but not Ryan. Hm. And twitters him. And mentions him. COME ON PEOPLE, WHY IS THERE NOT MORE PETE/SPENCER FIC? Spence Wentz! It's canon! ;D

In my fic world, Pete likes the boys, but in the real world, HOW so ridic cute Pete&Ashlee? Seriously, I just want to squish them, they're so adorable! Her twitter's already awesome. They were so cute at the Aus Awards, them and Mark Hoppus made it worth watching.

What else? Oh yeah, MCR! They are all so weird and gross. I really don't understand half of what Mikey twitters about. Because seriously, they are huge geeks, and I, apparently, am not. Gerard's search for that car is highly amusing though. And that he'd take Bob with him to look, awwwww! He him telling Mikey that he's his hero! <3 And their continuous need to piss off Jeff Watson. Ahaha. Did they ever mention what they needed the red bull cans for? I don't remember. Also, someone please tell Frank to get a picture, y/y? That default twitter one is very annoying. :(

Btw, now that they're twittering more, do you think I should put the tweets shipped to wedontloveyou under a cut? Does anyone follow that and find it annoying?

Oh, actually, I had a question re:recs! Do people prefer longer posts with up to 15 or so, or shorter with 5 or something?

I'm feeling really bad right now because I've been ignoring the internet for the last few days or so. Sometimes I get in moods where I just want to hide under my covers, sleep and ignore the world. Nothing really brings them on or anything, it just seems to happen sometimes. And it's annoying and it pisses me off because I like dealing with things straight away and having things pile up makes me antsy. Which just makes me worse.

So I've only been sporadically replying to comments and posts and emails recently, and I'm really sorry about that. I'm reading everything though. And I have a bunch of posts to make too, and comm stuff. But I'm still feeling weird so I don't know when I'll be back to normal.

Though, all this twittering has been making me smile. I love Bandom so much, it's truly my happy place. ♥

What do you guys think about including Nick Scimeca in my multi-band picspam?? I'm thinking yes because I have some awesome pics of him with Spencer. Everyone wants to see those, right? ;)

So should I count him as bandom? And Hemmy's totally part of FOB Y/Y? :D What about Ashlee? Do you want to see her with people not in FOB?

What are people's thoughts on warnings for unhappy/unresolved endings? I just feel so sad and slightly annoyed if I get invested in a fic, and it ends on a weird break-up or something one-sided, with no prior warning. And it just feels unfinished. Like, the header just lists a pairing and an ambiguous one line summary or something. I don't want to have to read the end of every fic I start just to make sure it has a happy ending. :(

In other fic news, I've been reading a lot of Fall Out Boy fic, and a lot of Pete/Patrick. I've had it in my head for a while now that it's one of those pairings that I'm not bothered about, and I guess it has been, but recently I seem to have fallen in love with it, and can't get enough. It's great. :D [Side note: Whenever I listen to TTTYG it makes me want to read FOB fic, usually Pete/Patrick ...Idek. And sometimes FUTCT.]

I have a rec post nearly finished, and I'm pretty sure I'm ready to do my picspam of bands mixing that I've been planning.

And finally, fanficrants, where have you been all my life? I can't believe it's taken me so long to find it, and it's such a shame because I could have so used it for when I was into HP. But yeah, a comm for bitching about stupid people! I love it. ;D

Came to be over my wanting a primer for all things American, now we have this! It's actually for primers about culture around the world, not specific to bandom, a particular country, or a topic.

So, you should all go join and perhaps contribute a primer on something! It can be anything, seriously, though if you want to indulge me, some particulars I want primers on:

LA, Chicago, American fast foods, veganism, and tour buses. ;D

Though, I'll probably be interested in anything any of you choose to tell me about!

Part 2: Lists

You know what I'd really really love? An America primer of some sort. Like, just a primer covering some stuff that comes up in fanfic that is Very American, and that I Do Not Get At All. I want it to cover some cities [description of Chicago/Las Vegas/LA], some eating places [In-N-Out? Applebees? Taco something or other?], more foodstuff brand info [what are Funyuns? Bisquick? And many many others! Also, drinks] and uh, I think there is other stuff too. But yeah, I'd really appreciate that. Pictures would also be important! ;D

And I know there's a few comm's that deal with culture differences, like thecultureclash which is at least bandom related, but it's more for writers, and not quite as comprehensive as what I'm looking for. Though it's really interesting to learn about the differences, I love it. And I still watch hp_britglish, which is awesome.

Also, Bobert, GTFO YOUTUBE AND GO MAKE SOME DAMN MUSIC!! ILU, but seriously. IT HAS GOT TO STOP! :D

I still consider myself pretty new to lj. I joined in Feb 07, and didn't start using until August, when I found HP fandom. But I really love it here. I was never around for any of the big bad things, so I don't really feel the hate. And I really don't mind paying for an account [woo permanent!] when I get access to theme layers and stuff. It's a really awesome hobby that makes me really happy to play about with, and people pay much more for other hobbies, so yeah.

I love the way you can get to know people, the level of online interaction compared to other sites. Especially co-called 'social networking' ones, blarg.

So yeah, basically, LJ=Awesome for me. And I've become interested in what's happening around here, I like to pay attention to new releases and design stuff, and what the point of this post is about; improvements. ;)

I just made a layout this evening! I've never made a layout in one day before, let alone all in one go, I'm so happy! :D

I've been wanting one for a while for viewing journals where I don't like the layout. You know how some are just unreadable, or you'd just rather not spend a long time on or whatever. So yeah. And I actually really really love it. I might post it at a later date. The only thing I haven't done is the icons for the comment pages, but they're not that important, and I need to think on what kind I want to use. ;)

Also, I haven't tested it in other browsers and screen widths yet, so please tell me if you see anything weird.

eta: This interview [omg so awkward&bad] says that all of Panic moved to California. Sort of. The interviewer does, and Ryan just says there's nothing [for them] in Vegas. Basically, it has me excited because it could mean Spencer has actually moved along with Ryan and Brendon. \O/ :D

I just realised I could block those little dragon[&other] things from showing up on my flist. I'm kinda annoyed I didn't think of it before, when the craze was big because they hardly show up anymore, but for when they do.

It's CSS, so just add it in the custom stylesheet box on the Customise Journal Style Custom CSS page. If you already have a custom layout, this goes at the end.

Also, you can use it block any images you don't want by just changing the source url. Like, for Photobucket:

Also, you can block any entry images that show up on your flist from a specific journal too.

Ok so, I made icons. ;) Actually, I made icons a while ago, but I've made more now, and I'm sharing. Just Joe and AAR so far.

Is it weird that I'm more proud of the table than the icons? I've never coded this kind of table before, and tables are the kind of annoying html that gives me trouble. And it's totally the quick&easy kind. ;) So yeah, and I'm iffy on the colouring for some of the icons, but meh.

I'm thinking of uploading some stuff to YouTube, but I just wanted to know some things. I take it all their officially released videos and DVD stuff are copyrighted, but people still upload them, so is just like, that's fine until someone makes a complaint? YT doesn't have any check on what's uploaded, right? They can't so anything until something is said? Anyone have a clue? ;)

Some randomness that I've been thinking about recently and decided, for some reason, to write down.

• LJ time confuses me SO MUCH. Posts that are posted within minutes of each other seem to have hours worth of difference on the timestamp. Is it like, that's the time it is where the poster is? Confuzzeling.
  
  So then a while ago murklins was awesome and gave me code to have it show GMT in time as well. GMT is great. It makes sense to be. I used to be in GMT time. I miss it. Greenwich is awesome, ok. ;) I have very fond memories of Greenwich Park too.


• I'm working on the 5 things meme but gah, I ramble so much. I never know when to stop talking about something. So yeah, it may be a few days, while I regain coherency. ;)


• One of the funniest Americanism I saw in HP was someone writing out the two pronunciations of tomato, but they were doing from an American perspective of what was supposed to be an English character. So they had: 'tomato, tomahto'. So like, that would be exaggerating the way we actually say it, rather than exaggerating the way they pronounce it. The best way to write it I've seen is 'tomayto, tomahto'. No exaggeration, and clear pronunciation.


• I'm still laughing at whoever decided to give My Chem blogs. Seriously, they are just such boys. geeky, weirdo, random boys. &MCR; And ahaha, Gerard's latest is great. <3


• And oh, Gabe. I love him. A recent twitter: What's a better philosophy to live by: A) slow and steady wins the race or B) shut your mouth or I'll fuck it ???


• I still find it weird reading about men's underwear being called 'shorts'. To me, shorts are just short trousers, above the knee. And nothing else. :P


• I'm really loving Tahoma as my font right now. Mainly, because it's quite curvy, and my smileys look nice. Seriously, I have a PROBLEM. ;)

I recently cleaned up my gmail account. I had around 5000 email in my inbox, and now I have none! Through the liberal use of labels, filters, the bin and archive buttons. \O/ It only took me a few weeks. ;) I did most of it a while ago, but I had a few hundred left that weren't labelled or easily group searched, so I had to go through and look at them, decide what to do.

Also, I wish I could hide my entry in my emails when I get comment notifications, especially for long image posts. It'd be cool if it would just keep the lj cuts, then I wouldn't have to wait for my entry to load. Blah, random annoyances.
